A NEW Primark store has been officially unveiled in Lancaster - making it the closest outlet to Barrow.
After more than two years of planning and construction, Lancaster's long-awaited Primark store opened today - making it the UK's 170th branch.
The doors were officially flung open to queues of eager shoppers at 10am this morning after an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Robert Redfern and Chris Beckerman, CEO of the Roubaix Group, which owns the Market Gate Shopping Centre where the store is based.
