THE M6 has been cleared after an overturned vehicle caused major tailbacks and lane closures.
The road traffic collision happened on the M6 northbound near Tebay, between junctions 37 and 38, at around 5.30pm.
A driver told the Evening Mail that there were three-mile tailbacks northbound when he drove past.
Fuel spillage and debris has been cleared from the road, and the M6 reopened at around 8.30pm.
