ALMOST a third of pensioners say they are more adventurous in older age than they were in their youth, with mountain climbing and joining the mile high club appearing in some of their bucket lists, a poll has found.
The survey of 1,000 pensioners showed 61% have taken part in an adventurous activity in the past six months, while 32% said they have more exciting experiences now than they did when they were younger.
But 26% said they felt discriminated against due to their age when taking part in leisure activities.
A total of 64% would like to take part in at least one high-thrills activity before they die, with piloting a plane the most popular item on their bucket lists, at 18%, followed by camping in a desert (16%), climbing a mountain (14%), riding a roller coaster (12%), and joining the mile high club (11%).
The survey was commissioned by Thorpe Park Resort, in Surrey.
