Delays and disruption that left many travellers in South Cumbria on public transport in disarray has come to an end as signal problems and engineering works have now been resolved.
Northern announced on their twitter page yesterday that signal problems in Lancaster and overrunning engineering works in the Oxenholme area had been cleared.
CLEARED: The signalling problem at Lancaster has also been resolved. Trains are now running normally through Lancaster.

The signal problems in Lancaster had caused delays for trains across the entire county with lines being blocked. As a result, services had been delayed or revised.
