FASTEN your seat belts, it's time for take off.

Furness pilot Ryan Clyde stars on ITV's new two-part series easyJet: Inside the Cockpit at 9pm tonight.

The 21-year-old, of Askam, is a first officer with easyJet and is based in Paris. The new fly-on-the-wall series was filmed at the start of the year when Mr Clyde was starting out with the airline.

The programme opens the door into the cockpit to follow rookie pilots from simulator training, to flying large jets with hundreds of passengers on board.The former Chetwynde School headboy wanted to be a pilot since he was a boy and he is now enjoying his dream career.

He was travelling back to the UK to watch the show tonight.
