A THIEF has admitted stealing alcohol worth more than £400 from a South Cumbria supermarket.
Christian Stanescu pleaded guilty to one count of theft when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow yesterday.
The 52-year-old, whose address was given in court as one in Coventry, admitted stealing alcohol valued at £415.99 from Morrisons in Kendal on February 9. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge. The alcohol was later recovered.
