STRUGGLING to find something to watch tonight? Here are a few television picks for this evening.

Let It Shine (BBC1, 6.55pm)

So the search for a band to star in Gary Barlow's new stage show is really beginning to hot up, as we enter the live stages - and the recently assembled quintets get to find out what the public really think of them.

So far we've seen the individuals get vetted, and the bands form and perform in collaborations, but now they've been polished in rehearsals which of them have what it takes?

Anyway, it's another new phase, which means another change to the judging panel, as a special guest judge joins the line-up.

Casualty (BBC1, 7.55pm)

The day of Elle's hearing arrives, and Connie makes sure Grace is present as a visual reminder of Elle's mistake.

Giving her testament, Connie delivers an exaggerated version of her daughter's condition, and makes it clear she will stop at nothing in the pursuit of her vendetta.

However, when Grace collapses in the bathroom, severely injuring herself on broken glass, it falls to Elle to save the girl's life.

Meanwhile, back in the emergency department, Robyn has doubts about whether she is fit to be a mother, after discovering her colleagues are placing bets on how she will manage.

Scorpion (ITV2, 8pm)

As the third season of this underrated hi-tech US drama returns following a mid-season break, the Scorpion crew must work quickly to help the LA Fire Department's rescue team to rescue a woman trapped in her car in the La Brea Tar Pits.

She ran off the road in a bid to avoid a cyclist, but ended up in a decidedly sticky situation as a consequence. With only a limited supply of oxygen left, can they effect a rescue before she suffers the same fate as countless prehistoric animals? Meanwhile, Veronica helps Ralph make extra money.

NCIS (Channel 5, 8pm)

The team have tackled numerous villains over the years, and some have proved to be more difficult than others to bring to justice.

The notorious Tri-State Sniper has certainly been a thorn in their side, and appears to have claimed another victim when a petty officer is shot dead in a crowded park.

However, when the team discovers the killer in question was already in custody on the day of the shooting, it becomes clear a copy-cat is on the loose.

As their investigation progresses, the agents learn the victim was recently found guilty of placing a camera in the female changing rooms of the USS Camden, earning himself plenty of enemies - but did any of them hate him enough to kill? Mark Harmon and David McCallum head the cast.

Terry Pratchett: Back in Black (BBC2, 9pm)

This dramatised documentary tells the life story of Terry Pratchett, the fantasy author whose popular Discworld series made him a household name, selling more than 85 million copies worldwide.

In 2015, following a prolonged and public battle with Alzheimer's, Pratchett died, leaving behind one last unfinished story - his own.

Here, actor Paul Kaye steps into the celebrated writer's shoes, charting Pratchett's life from his troubled schooldays and his difficulties securing the respect of literary critics, through to his eventual success and his gradual decline into ill health.

The film makes use of Pratchett's own words, along with those of his friend and collaborator Neil Gaiman, contemporary Val McDermid, and long-serving assistant Rob Wilkins.

Taboo (BBC1, 9.15pm)

James Delaney's grand plan to secure a monopoly in the tea trade begin to unravel, as a family revelation drives him into dark and haunted places - both real and figurative.

As a result, his erstwhile allies, his household, and his extended family all begin to descend into a downward spiral, with terrible prices being paid as a result of James' machinations.

Meanwhile, at the East India Company, the ruthless Sir Stuart Strange calls for all-out war with Delaney, threatening to destroy everything he has built.

This fresh, chaotic threat only causes James to react in kind - but things quickly take a dire turn.

Historical drama, starring Tom Hardy and Jonathan Pryce.
