A SWASHbuckling production will be entertaining the crowds in South Cumbria this weekend.

Broughton Drama Group will be going 'all for one and one for all' when it stages The Three Musketeers panto at Victory Hall from Friday to Sunday.

Would be musketeers D’Artagnan and Constance are played by Callum Slater and Ceara Hayden, while the three formidable musketeers of Athos, Aramis and Porthos are portrayed by Paul Jordin, who wrote the panto script, Lesley Skelton and 12-year-old Zac Miller. Another 12-year-old in the main cast is Freya Ashcroft, who plays Rochefort.

Other young cast members include primary pupils Sarah Thompson (Michelle), Josh Blinkhorn (Jacques) and Charlie Geldart (Yvette).

The Cardinal’s Guards are also a group of seven to 10-year-olds.

The story follows D’Artagnan's arrival in Paris and his intention to join the King’s Musketeers, then his heroics going up against The evil Cardinal Richelieu (Matt Berry).

The show will be performed at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday night and at 2.30pm on Sunday.

Director Emma Bonney saidit will be a great family event.

Miss Bonney said: "This is one of our largest casts and one the nice things is that we have lots of young people involved.

"This really is a whole community effort ans everyone makes the sets and costumes."

Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3.50 for children. A family ticket costs £16 for two adults and two children.

There will be some tickets available on the door or they can be bought from Broughton Tourist Information Office and Broughton Post Office
