A MAN from South Cumbria has been charged with theft offences after allegedly being caught with tin foil.
Jonathan Edward Calvert, 30, is set to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court tomorrow accused of shoplifting and going equipped for theft.
He is alleged to have stolen a Berghaus jacket worth £99.99 from Nevisport in Kendal on May 12 of this year and having in his possession an article, tin foil, which he intended to use in the course of a theft.
Calvert, of Stricklandgate, Kendal, is also charged with two bail offences. He has pleaded not guilty toall offences and is due to appear at court via video link from prison.
