NORTHERN Rail has warned of service disruptions between Carlisle and Barrow and Lancaster and Preston due to broken down trains.
Carlisle and Barrow
Due to a broken down train between Carlisle and Barrow some lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 1pm on December 11.
The broken down train between Harrington and Parton means services towards Workington/Barrow are subject to delay, an assisting locomotive is on route to assist the failed train.
Lancaster and Preston
Due to a broken down train between Lancaster and Preston some lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes. Disruption is expected until 12.30pm on December 11.
Services are unable to run towards Preston at this time, further updates will be messaged out once the information becomes available.
