POLICE have released the identity of a man who died after a collision on the A591 in South Cumbria.
Police can confirm that the man who died following the A591 collision on Saturday has been identified as Ken Townson, 90, of Bolton-le-Sands, Lancashire.
Mr Townson was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which collided with a Honda Jazz on the A591 at Ings.
He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital where he died on Monday. The 56-year-old driver of the Astra remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The 81-year-old driver of the Honda, a woman from Staveley, died at the scene.
In a statement released via police, Mr Townson’s family said: “"Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad you will be sadly missed. We will treasure every memory and you will remain in our hearts and thoughts always."

Specially-trained officers are supporting the family at this time.
