Police investigate attempted robbery in South Cumbria
POLICE are investigating a report of an attempted robbery in South Cumbria.
Police were called at 8.15pm yesterday to Castle Stores in Castle Drive, Kendal, after a report a member of staff had been threatened with a knife. No-one was harmed and nothing was taken from the store.
The suspect is described as being a male, possibly in his 20s, wearing a dark coloured beanie hat and jacket.
He made off from the scene on a dark coloured pedal bike in the direction of the footpath leading towards the cemetery and the bottom of the Castle.
Anyone with information that may assist in identifying the offender is asked to contact Cumbria Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
