Paul's Carpets have been providing carpets and flooring in South Cumbria for over 35 years and with the help of their innovative mobile showroom, are even bringing samples direct to the door. With a service that includes the uplift of old carpets, moving furniture, trimming doors and the fitting of your new carpet or flooring, Paul's are a one stop solution to your flooring needs.

Perhaps less known but in their eyes, equally as important, Paul's Carpets are proud to give back to the local community who support them. Just one of many instances of this is their sponsorship of the Crooklands Casuals Under 14s Football Team who are currently kitted out in new training tops thanks to Paul and Fiona.

Crooklands Casuals FC have two senior teams and nine junior/mini teams with 120 children ranging from ages 9-16, covering ten age groups in the Barrow and District JFL. The junior section was set up in 2005 and has flourished to become a major part of the club that you see today. With FA qualified coaches at all age groups and recognised as an FA Charter Standard club through its commitment to good practice, Crooklands Casuals have a solid standing in the local community.

This community involvement however comes at a price. Keeping up standards can be expensive which is where sponsors like Paul's Carpets play a vital role. As with all extra curricula activities, football comes at a cost to parents. Weekly training sessions have to be paid for to allow for upkeep of facilities and with the children growing out of their training gear at regular intervals, the price of new strips can be a burden. When it was obvious that the under 14s team were growing out of their old tops, Paul's Carpets stepped in with sponsorship that spared the parents additional expense and allowed the children to continue to enjoy their sport.

At this age, being a part of a team is more than just kicking a ball around a pitch. The children are encouraged to be proud of their uniform, take care of it and wear it to other sporting occasions and in their local communities. In the club colours they are representing the team and asked to do so in a responsible manner. Younger children who have just joined, or are thinking of joining, can see the older kids wearing the tops and want to be a part of it themselves, keeping the club routed in its local area and giving the children a sense of pride.

With the help of Paul's Carpets and other local companies like them, Crooklands Casuals FC will continue to support children from local areas, giving them a place to learn not just football, but social skills and responsibilities. A stand out example of pride and togetherness in this South Cumbrian community. <script>var hideInlineMPU=1;</script>
