HE'S making a list, he's checking it twice, he's... on the back of a motorcycle?

Santa Claus has consistently found time in his busy schedule to delight residents young and old with his visits to Furness and south Cumbria - a testament to his dedication and tireless work ethic.

Here, photos from The Mail archives show the wide range of local causes and events jolly old Saint Nick has turned up at over the years.

These include fundraising appeals and parties, with Barrow Roundtablers, Haverigg Inshore Rescue and Furness Motorcycle Club - just some of the organisations he pictured in our photos.

Children are, of course, Santa's main priority over Christmas, and photos from our archives mark his visits to St James' Primary School in Millom, the St Mary's Community Centre Christmas gala and Church Walk Nursery.
