DECORATIVE flags in Barrow's Dalton Road which were removed while work was carried out will eventually be replaced, council bosses have confirmed.
Work recently undertaken by utilities contractors in Dalton Road meant that the distressed decorative flags on the pavement outside the Derby pub and the Diamond restaurant had to be removed.
The area affected by the work has been replaced with plain tarmac but highways bosses at Cumbria County Council have said this is only a temporary measure while replacement flags are ordered.
