INSPIRING women making a difference in the county will be honoured later this year.
Nominations are now open for Cumbria Women of the Year 2017, celebrating the best of the county's unsung heroines.
The prestigious awards ceremony will pay tribute to the nominees at the Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel, in Windermere, on Wednesday November 29.
Nominees are encouraged from all walks of life, with last year's winner, Cheryl Berry of Kendal, part of the vanguard of the team responding to the devastation of Storm Desmond, as well as delivering hot meals from her own Romney's Bar in Kendal, galvanising support and co-ordinating the volunteer effort.
To nominate a special woman, download the form from www.cumbriawomenoftheyear.co.uk or call committee member Jackie on 01768 896409. Alternatively, contact the chairwoman of Cumbria Women of the Year, Judith Pattinson at Gelt Garth, Paving Brow, Brampton, CA8 1QT.
