Wasdale Mountain Rescue teams Picture: John Story
WASDALE Mountain Rescue team were called out yesterday evening (21) to support their colleagues in the Langdale Ambleside Rescue Team in searching for a walker last seen ascending Bowfell.
The missing walker was found by a mountain leader and group on a night navigation exercise near Long Crag in upper Eskdale and then handed over to the team near Lingcove Bridge.
After a change of clothes, the rescue team walked out to Brotherikeld and handed the walker over to the Langdale team near the top of Hardknott Pass.
