A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a serious collision on a main road in South Cumbria.
The A6 north of Kendal was closed by police following the collision. Motorists were asked to use alternative routes for a number of hours.
A motorcyclist was killed in the crash. The road reopened at around 1.40pm.
Police have since confirmed that a 57-year-old man from outside Cumbria was pronounced dead at the scene and his family has been informed. No other vehicles were involved.
A6 between Shap and Kendal is closed due to a collision. The road will be closed for some time. Please find another route.
