Evening Mail debate: Majority of voters say new Top Gear was no success
The vast majority of voters so far today were not fans of the new series of Top Gear which aired on TV last night
The relaunch of Top Gear, with its all new presenting team, had been eagerly anticipated for months.
As of 12:30pm today, 85% of voters didn't think the latest installment of Top Gear was a success, while just 15% believed it was.
With Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc at the helm, viewers were keen to see how they fared compared to the previous trio of presenters.
And so too were the TV critics. Although none appeared to be overwhelmed by the new show, it did not attract a lot of criticism either.
