A WOMAN who wants to use her dead daughter's frozen eggs to give birth to her own grandchild is set to continue her legal battle.

The 60-year-old, whose daughter died of cancer, lost an action at the High Court last year.

A panel of three judges will now hear the latest round of her case at the Court of Appeal on Wednesday.

Evening Mail readers have given their views on the measure, with seven in ten voting in today's poll against it.

A majority of 71 per cent of the readers that voted said the grandmother should not be allowed to be to have the child, but almost a quarter (21 per cent) felt it would be acceptable.

One of our readers, Sophie Gibson, commented on Facebook saying: "I see no harm in it at all. If she loves the baby then what is the problem? Part of her daughter will be in the baby."

Another reader, Irene Walker, said: "Sounds very selfish, is she doing it for the child that will be, or herself?"
