FIGURES show that more than 30 drivers in Cumbria have been punished since new rules on mobile phones came into force.
Since March 1, if caught using a mobile in a vehicle drivers can be fined up to £200 and given six points on their licence.
This is a harsher penalty than the previous rules, where only a £100 find, and three points could be imposed.
Cumbria Police have stopped 35 people since the imposition of the new regulations.
We are asking if you think the new law is fair, is it too harsh, or does it not go far enough?
