A CUMBRIA man has died after his car crashed into a tree.
The 34-year-old's Nissan Qashquai is believed to have come off the road at around 3am on Saturday near The Crossings Inn in Roweltown, north of Carlisle.
A passing police patrol spotted the damaged vehicle at 5am and found the driver was unresponsive with multiple injuries.
The man, from Brampton, was cut free from the Nissan by firefighters and taken to the Cumberland Infirmary. He was pronounced dead a short while later.
An investigation into the crash has been launched and anyone with information should call police on 101.
