CUMBRIA has helped the Alzheimer’s Society reach a record two million Dementia Friends milestone.
There are now more than 11,000 Dementia Friends in the area.
The Alzheimer's Society's initiative Dementia Friends was launched in 2013 to tackle the stigma of dementia, since it has been transforming the way people act, think and talk about the condition.
Now, one in every 30 people in England, Northern Ireland and Wales are involved in a social action movement to change perceptions of dementia.
