CARNIVAL fever hit two neighbouring Furness villages with a great crowd supporting the event this weekend.
People turned out in masses to see the colour and excitement of Askam and Ireleth Carnival yesterday.
The parade, followed by the dancing competitions and entertainment on Duddon Sports and Social Club field, was drenched in sunshine.
This year's Carnival Queen was Teoni Grierson and the Carnival Princesses were Evie Fagan and Darcy Porter.
