A BARROW man accused of a domestic burglary has been sent to the crown court.
Simon James Duffield, of Manchester Street, Barrow, is charged with entering a property in Ivy Avenue on Barrow Island as a trespasser with intent to do unlawful damage on Christmas Day.
The 37-year-old appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court today.
No pleas were taken during the hearing.
He will next appear at Preston Crown Court on January 6.
Prosecutor Ms Chrissie Hunt gave an outline of the case to the magistrates and Duffield was represented by Mr Sean Harkin.
Mrs Jenny Farmer, chair of the presiding magistrates, ordered that Duffield was remanded in custody.
