AN Askam man has denied stealing £2,400 from a hotel in Dalton.
Terrence Charles Graham, 39, of John Street, Askam, pleaded not guilty to the charge of entering Clarence House Hotel as a trespasser and then stealing paperwork and money.
The alleged burglary took place on Monday August 15.
Graham entered his not guilty plea when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Lee Dacre, prosecuting, gave magistrates a brief outline of the charge in the case's first hearing.
The case will next appear at Preston Crown Court on Friday February 3.
Graham was granted unconditional bail until that date.
