Charged: Askam man Colin Jones is accused of using Facebook to send a picture of his genitals to a girl under 18
A NEW court date has been set for the case of an Askam man accused of using Facebook to send a picture of his genitals to a girl aged under 18.
Colin Jones will next appear at Furness and District Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 27.
The 43-year-old, of Steel Street, Askam, is charged with sending an indecent or grossly offensive image via electronic communication with the intention of causing distress or anxiety.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place on November 4 last year.
Jones remains on bail on the condition that he does not have any unsupervised contact with a child under the age of 16 and that he does not sleep overnight in any premises where a child aged under 16 is present.
