POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was injured by a dog in South Cumbria and needed hospital treatment.
Cumbria Police said a woman was bitten by a small terrier type dog this morning (Sunday).
Police said the incident happened at around 8.45am near to the post office in Helmside Road, Oxenholme.
The dog was black and white and possibly a Jack Russell and was with a man in his 70s or 80s.
The woman had minor injuries which required hospital treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria police on 101.
