A LOCAL history society in Millom will discuss their upcoming digging project at the library.
Millom and District Local History Society will showcase their achievements, give a tour of their website and talk about the dig at Millom Library.
Digging for Millom is the latest phase of the Millom Castle and Holy Trinity Church Archaeology Project.
The society has over 1,300 followers on their website and many volunteers taking part in their various projects.
Members of their two groups, the Prehistory Appreciation Group and Millom Detectorists, which both meet once a month in the library, will be there and the detectorists will be showing some of their best finds.
The event is free and is hosted by Cumberland Council which is providing free refreshments. It will take place at Millom Library on Saturday, May 4 10-12 noon.
