RIDING horses on Grange promenade is forbidden after 'a number of people' asked the police about it.
PC Simon Eyres, the local community officer for Grange, said he had spoken to the council about this.
"I can now confirm that the riding or driving of horses, to cause danger or annoyance, is forbidden. The promenade does not have a recorded right of way and as such is land owned by the council," he said.
PC Eyres said there is a byelaw 'in effect' forbidding horses and a breach of this could result in a fine via a summary conviction.
