A GOLF club has been given a new food hygiene rating.
Furness Golf Club at Central Drive, in Barrow, was rated three out of five on March 15, according to Food Agency's website.
This means that its standards were found to be 'generally satisfactory'.
The establishment has got an overall rating of 4.4 out of five on Google Maps of 159 reviews.
The food safety officer of Westmorland and Furness Council inspected three areas which were given a standard rating.
The hygienic food handling including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was found 'generally satisfactory'.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control, was found generally satisfactory.
The management of food safety, which includes the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, was rated 'good'.
