A BLUES and soul festival is coming to Barrow.
South Cumbrian Blues and Soul Festival is taking place at Hawcoat Park in Barrow on June 8 and 9 in aid of St Mary's Hospice.
This is the first time the event is being organised with five bands in attendance each day, including Northern Soul playing all day on the outside terrace.
Festival organiser Brian George said: "What St Mary's does in the area is absolutely fantastic. I think that supporting the local hospice is really important that we put as much as we can into it.
"My intention is to run the event every year on the same weekend."
The event will run from noon until midnight. A weekend pass costs £15 and the day pass £10.
