Barrow Foodbank needs your help.

The charity is currently dealing with high levels of demand and low stock levels leaving them in need of donations.

They have released a shopping list of their most wanted and most needed items.

The shopping list asks for tinned goods such as meat, fish and vegetables, as well as other items with a long shelf life, including instant mash.

Essentials like toilet roll and toiletries were requested alongside tea, coffee and snacks such as chocolate bars and crisps.

Pasta sauce, tomatoes, potatoes and sugar made it onto the list as well as sugar, biscuits and UHT milk.

The shopping list also asks for sponge pudding and long-life fruit juice, all of which can be donated at the centre or at local donation points throughout the area.

On their Facebook page, Barrow Foodbank said: “Due to high levels of demand locally our stock levels are running very low at the moment. Any donations of items from our shopping list would be much appreciated, we need all items as quickly as we can get them.

“Please share, thank you all so much for your continued kindness and support.”
