A school has asked for support from the local community to improve its outdoor play area.
Newton Village Academy revealed on Thursday it is starting a new project to enhance the current offerings they have for their pupils.
The hope is that, through donations from the public, they can give the children a more varied playing experience.
Some of the items the school is looking for include: wellington boots, dressing up clothes, pushchairs, Astro turf, pipes, tyres, wooden boards, and bike wheels.
The school said: "If anyone could kindly donate anything to help us get it all up and running, it would be greatly appreciated."
Other donations that would help include: cable drums, traffic cones, sheets, toys, gardening tools, tarpaulins, cushions, and storage containers.
