"PUPILS are cherished at this small and friendly school."
Those are the words of the Ofsted inspector, who visited Lindale CofE Primary School on 20 and 21 February.
Lindale CofE Primary School, on School Hill, near Grange, received a 'Good' Ofsted report in all areas.
The school takes in pupils aged between three and 11, and only has 42 students on its roll. This inspection happened over a decade after the school's last full Ofsted inspection, as it received a short inspection in 2018. The school continues to be 'Good.'
"Pupils are supported to achieve their personal best," the inspector wrote. "Differences between people are valued and nurtured. Pupils are happy. They are well cared for and feel accepted.
"The school has high expectations for pupils' achievement. This includes pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Pupils are positive about school and their learning. Typically, they achieve well. Year six pupils are well prepared for their secondary education."
To improve, the Ofsted inspector said that the school should 'refine its curriculum thinking,' develop its approach to assessment and ensure that the staff provide effective support 'for the pupils who struggle to regulate their own behaviour.'
