Strictly Come Dancing's Tommy Blaize is set to come to Barrow on his first ever major solo tour. 

One of the most recognisable voices in the UK, the lead singer on the BBC show sings live each week to up to 12 million people.

He joined the show around 20 years ago however his remarkable career has spanned 50 years. 

Tommy began his singing career at the age of nine with The Blaize Brothers.

Alongside his siblings, he first learned to sing in front of a live audience and played in clubs across the North-West of England for around six years in the 1970s.

He went on to work with some of the world’s most legendary artists including Diana Ross, Queen, The Beach Boys, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder and Robbie Williams.

Announced by the Forum Theatre, a post by the venue read: "Now it’s time for the man with the golden voice to step out in his first, major, solo tour.

"Singing songs everyone knows and loves, and telling stories about the legends he’s worked alongside, expect a Strictly incredible evening."

The event takes place at the Forum Theatre on Duke Street on Sunday April 21 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £26 plus a booking fee.
