A NEW business offering colourful gourmet burgers has opened in Barrow.

Crazy Kitchen is the new fast food kitchen based at the Ambrose Hotel on Duke Street offering culinary options from burgers to pastas and toasties.

The business opened officially at the beginning of March and its highlight is the gourmet colourful burgers, ranging from pink to black.

Apo Gonulcan, the manager of the business, explained the concept for Crazy Kitchen started as he 'wanted to do something different'.

He said: "In this town, there is not any type of this burgers' styles - we wanted to do something a bit different."

Mr Gonulcan, who is also a chef and owner of other businesses, said the town has 'potential'.

He said: "Barrow has got potential because there are so many workers in this town so people have no time to cook. In the food business, there is a potential that is why we opened this kitchen here."

Even though the business just recently opened, they have been receiving 'good' feedback from customers.

"People are liking it so we are happy," he said.

"Whoever we send the burgers to they say it is a massive burger and nice. Some of them are even struggling to finish the burgers.

"We are slowly getting there, getting used to the kitchen, to the menu. We have got four staff members and one driver. It is a small kitchen but I'm working with four cousins.

"We are not a proper restaurant but we have the potential with a sitting area so people can come down and enjoy it. If not they can enjoy it in their home."

Crazy Kitchen is open for deliveries, collection and eating in from 9am until 9pm.
