Rock journalist and musician John Robb is set to come to Barrow in May to talk about his life in music on the back of his bestselling book Art of Darkness: The History of Goth.

John was the singer and bassist for post-punk band the Membranes and is now editor of one of the UK's biggest music culture websites Louder than War.

He plans to discuss all things music as he highlights some of the pivotal moments in his career such as interviewing Nirvana and inventing the word 'Britpop'.

He will also share his own adventures on the post-punk frontline.

The show will run for around two hours and 20 minutes with the first set being 60 minutes followed by a 20 minute interval.

Set two will have two 30-minute segments.

The event will take place on May 10 at the Forum Theatre on Duke Street and will start at 7:30pm.

Tickets are £12.50 plus booking fee.
