New spaces have opened up at a charity working to help people through the ongoing cost of living crisis.
The Ulverston Food Project revealed on Thursday that there was new and brief opportunity for residents to sign up to their Monday Food Club membership.
This is open to anyone suffering from 'financial hardship, food insecurity or anyone living on a low income'.
A spokesperson from the project explained: "We charge £5 per week towards running costs for access to around £30-£50 of surplus foods.
"What we have on offer varies every week but you can usually expect fresh, frozen, chilled, tins and bakery - our volunteers spend all day sorting and setting up ready for the afternoon's Food Club."
The charity took the time to thank FareShare Lancashire and Cumbria for providing the weekly allocations and encouraged anyone in a tight spot to reach out about joining.
