SOUTH Walney Nature Reserve has installed a new bird hide for people to enjoy the wildlife without disturbing nature.

The Cumbria Wildlife Trust-owned nature reserve is famous for its nesting bird and seal species and has multiple hides so visitors do not disturb its delicate ecosystem.

Timbercation, which usually offers services between Grange, Kendal and Ulverston, built the hide.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Wildlife Trust said: "Please admire our beautiful new hide - she's a stunner! The perfect place for some peaceful wildlife watching this weekend.

"Thanks to Timbercation for their hard work on this hide, which looks out towards the Irish Sea from our South Walney Nature Reserve, a short walk from the visitor centre.

"We asked them for something a bit different and they delivered."
