A SECTION of a road is set to close due to council works.
A section of Central Drive on Walney will be closed whilst works are carried out.
This is anticipated to start on February 21 and take up to three days to complete.
The road will be closed between 9am and 3pm daily.
An alternative route can be found via the unrestricted section of Central Drive, Southampton Street, Amphirite Street, Ocean Road and the Promenade.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
