A group has been set up to make it easier for residents in Barrow to uncover their ancestral past.
The Ancestry and Local History Group will have its home at Barrow Library, with the first session starting on Monday, February 26 and lasting between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
After that, the club will be running fortnightly, providing members with full access to the computers and resources the library has to offer.
Organised by Westmorland and Furness Council, they said: "Come along to learn from our volunteers about how to use online ancestry tools, where to begin when starting your family tree and meet like-minded people in your area."
Everyone is welcome in the hope that it will encourage more people to learn about the area's history, building personal connections to the town in which the live.
