NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine south Cumbria establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Butterfingers at Main Street, Grange Over Sands; rated on January 25
• Rated 5: Cumbria Grand Hotel at Lindale Road, Grange Over Sands; rated on January 25
• Rated 5: The Temperance Inn at 33 Lake Road, Ambleside; rated on January 24
• Rated 5: AJ's at Kendal Indoor Market, Westmorland Shopping Centre, Kendal; rated on January 23
• Rated 5: Lucy's on a Plate at Church Street, Ambleside; rated on January 23
• Rated 5: More? The Artisan Bakery Cafe at Staveley Mill Yard, Back Lane, Staveley; rated on January 9
And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:
• Rated 5: Devonshire Arms at 1 Braddyll Terrace, Ulverston; rated on January 30
Plus two ratings for takeaways:
• Rated 5: Cockles Convenience Store at 2 Church Walk, Flookburgh; rated on January 30
• Rated 5: Hole in Wall Ltd Kiosk at Kendal Bus Station, Blackhall Road, Kendal; rated on January 24
