AN ANIMAL lover and photographer who recently moved to south Cumbria is providing dog services for locals.

Naomi Fowler, who works as a freelancer, has recently moved to Grange from Brighton.

An experienced dog walker and trainer, she grew up with dogs her entire life. She used to be a puppy trainer when she was in her early 20s.

Naomi said: "If anyone needs extra help in the community, I'm around. I used to be a dog walker and puppy trainer in my neighbourhood 10 years ago.

"I'm offering group dog walking but only in Grange. It is actually beneficial for me because it is an older area. A lot more people are elderly, and they can't get out as often, or people are working more."

She will provide services such as dog walking and dog feeding - and she is happy to offer her help with other animals.

"I'm an experienced horse rider. I grew up with horses, so if people need horses riding or feeding in the local area, then I can also help," said the 30-year-old.

Naomi explained that her main reason for moving to the area was to work on long-term document photography based on people's connection with their landscape in Cumbria.

She said: "There are so many projects around here, and people are very focused on regenerative farming methods. I'm someone who is very concerned with the environment - there is so much local produce here which we don't have in Brighton. I was mainly looking for a quieter lifestyle as a photographer.

"In the modern world, especially in all these corporate places like London, Brighton is becoming very corporate now, and I felt that change in the community. Brighton used to be very caring in the community like Grange-over-Sands is, and I can feel it already."
