HERE is how you can take in the magic of the sky and go stargazing at a coastal location.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust is inviting people to view the moon, stars, and planets through telescopes at Earnse Bay, on West Shore Road, Walney Island.

In this joint event, Furness & South Lakeland Astronomical Society will bring their telescopes and expertise to help people discover the galaxy.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Wildlife Trust said: "We will view the moon, Jupiter, and the constellation of Orion and learn about how the moon and sun control tides and seasons."

Vistiors are welcomed to drop in any time between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday February 22 to discover the wonders of the galaxy and enjoy a mug of hot chocolate.

The event is free of charge and suitable for wheelchairs.
