People living in the South Lakes area with long-term respiratory issues can now access vital groups in the community.
The 'Breathe Easy' groups are an Integrated Care Community (ICC) initiative supported by volunteers and are affiliated with Morecambe Bay Respiratory Network and Asthma + Lung UK.
The groups will offer people with respiratory conditions such as asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), bronchiectasis and Interstitial Lung Disease advice and support from health and care professionals.
The Windermere branch meets on the second Thursday of the month from 2pm to 4pm at the Marchesi Centre on Holly Road.
The group in Grange-over-Sands meet on the third Tuesday of every month between 1pm and 3pm at Grange Health Centre.
Their next session is set to take place on Tuesday, January 16.
The groups are open to anyone aged 18 or above and there is no need to book, with drop-ins welcome.
