PLANS have been lodged for the extension of an existing warehouse in Millom.
The proposals have been submitted to Cumberland Council by Slacks Millom Ltd for a 164m2 extension to one of the existing warehouse buildings.
The plastics manufacturer is located on Borwick Rails and has been operating since 1970.
The planning statement stated that the applicant believes the proposed extension complies with the constraints in all elements.
It said: "The existing warehouse was erected in early 2018. Therefore, the use of the land under prior to this application is considered Lawful allowing Class H to be considered.
"Having due regard for the constraints of the General Permitted Development Order and the scale, location of the proposals, we therefore seek confirmation through the Lawful Development Certificate that the works can be executed without the need for planning consent."
