An annual event in Grange-over-Sands is relying on donations more than ever as its enters its 77th year.
The lighting of the Christmas trees in the area, due to take place from 5.45pm on December 2, is relying on public backing to keep the event 'alive'.
The organisers said: "We need to maintain the lights on the tree and Santa’s sleigh, as well as provide selection boxes for Santa to hand out to all the children on the night.
"If you have been to the lighting in the past 76 years, you will have seen the smiles it puts on the kids' faces when they receive a present from Santa, and how nice it is when you drive into Grange to see the tree lit up for Christmas."
You can support the community event through any donation large or small, with details available on their Facebook page.
