A NEW booking data shows Cumbrian locations as the most sought-after spots for winter bookings this year.
According to recent data from Sykes Holiday Cottages, Ambleside, Keswick, Windemere and Bowness-on-Windemere feature in the top five most popular locations for winter staycations this year.
Graham Donoghue, CEO at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: "With impressive landscapes, historic towns, and rural walking trails, it's no surprise that Cumbrian locations make up four of our top five most popular destinations for winter bookings this year."
He added: "From spending quality time with family and friends, to exploring what this beautiful region has to offer, a seasonal staycation can be a great way to wrap up the year."
