A MAJOR route into Barrow has been blocked following a vehicle fire.
Emergency services had to close the A590 at Rusland Pool, Bouth after and still in attendance.
Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue remain on scene tackling this ongoing incident first reported shortly after 11am.
Emergency services attended the scene of an incident at Rusland Pool, Bouth.
The road is closed in both directions.
Police have stated: "We are currently responding to a vehicle fire on the A590 near Haverthwaite.
"The road is closed in both directions whilst emergency services respond.
"Please seek alternative routes."
